The subject tonight is love,

And for tomorrow night as well,

As a matter of fact

I know of no better topic

For us to discuss…

- Hafiz

A collaboration between LM Feldman and Megan Gendell of Philadephia, Andrea Burkholder of Milwaukee, and Susan Murphy of Darien, Ga… In this aerial & acrobatic meditation on how to love (ourselves, one another, our community, the world right now), four women three decades apart spin words, stories & images; explore characters, relationships & questions; and share the virtuosity of moving alone & together through intimate, contemporary, feminist circus.

As communities and relationships fracture around us- natural disasters, political strife, global turmoil, and assault on science and human rights- and as legislation is passed that takes away the rights of whole comunities based on religion, race, sexuality, gender, and class, we must strive to find ways to connect or reconnect, to care about the other. We must love those whom we have never met and consider each individual unknown to us as someone who matters, someone whom we need. And to love in any real way, we must give before we take.

The Subject Tonight is Love made its debut the summer of 2019, with performances in Athens, GA, Asheville, SC, and Darien, GA and continues in 2020 with performances along the East Coast.
