Come to our kick off First Friday event this month, featuring aerial dance from Andrea Burkholder, finely honed improvisation from Daniel Burkholder, and a little something extra from the both of them. Watch as this monthly series brings new artists to new audiences. Believing art should be openly accessible to all, admission is pay-what-you-can and everyone is welcome.

Andrea Chastant Burkholder and her husband, Daniel Burkholder arrived in Milwaukee last August, after spending decades living in Maryland and driving the evolution of the region's robust dance scene. Andrea ran Arachne Aerial Arts in Washington, DC for over 10 years, teaching and performing aerial arts across the city, and Daniel ran Daniel Burkholder/The PlayGround for 12 years, bringing a new understanding to improvisational performance to the area. The two then created Movement Arts, combining somatic work (Feldenkrais and Pilates) with their disciplines in teaching and performing. The Burkholders are excited to have an artistic home here in Milwaukee.
